About this app

Material Lab is a studio in the browser for procedural materials, 3D scenes and short animations. You build a material as a visual graph of nodes, and you see the result at once in a live 3D preview.

How to use it:

• Make a material in the material graph. Change the seed, the quick controls and the variations, and keep named versions.
• Put objects and characters in a scene, up to 32 objects. Paint on the surface of a character, give it a pose and move it on the timeline.
• Add scene states. A state is a variable, for example a language choice, that changes objects, materials and video titles.
• Export PNG texture maps, GLB models and MP4 videos with timed titles.

Work that you do not save stays in your browser under Local projects. When you sign in, you can save private projects and a material library in your account under AIMEAT projects. Your images and projects stay private.

Your own AI can also work on your projects through the tools of the app. It can make a scene from a description, change materials and run an animation. The app itself makes no paid AI calls.

The app is in English and Finnish.
